Matt Scottoline recorded the fourth studio album by Hurry, Fake Ideas, in the days leading up to the outbreak. Despite the lack of connection between the two events, the album was made with passion and dedication alongside bandmates Rob DeCarolis (Univox), Justin Fox (Cherry, Kite Party), and Joe DeCarolis (Psychic Teens). It follows the highly acclaimed Every Little Thought from 2018, and stays true to the band's signature anxious charm while exploring a more guitar-driven, power-pop direction.
