We are now accepting preorders for an updated and expanded edition of Velocity Girl's long out-of-print 1993 debut album, Copacetic, which we have named UltraCopacetic. This new version was remixed in 2023 by the band and includes a second disc of singles, outtakes, and a 1993 Peel Session. UltraCopacetic is set to be released on August 16 in CD and a Loser Edition LP formats, the latter being pressed on opaque red vinyl and limited to 2,000 copies. Velocity Girl released three albums on Sub Pop from 1993 to 1996 and also contributed to the platinum-selling soundtrack for Clueless.
The band was never fully satisfied with Copacetic's original sound. Since the album's release, they have gained significant experience in recording, and Archie Moore pursued a career in audio work. After a thorough search, Archie managed to locate the original tapes and began remixing the album in 2023. Now, just about a year later, we have an updated and expanded version of their debut album!
