Eddie Van Halen leaned into keyboards without abandoning the guitar, which gave Why Can't This Be Love and Dreams a scale the earlier records never attempted. Best Of Both Worlds and Get Up prove the band could still play as hard as anyone, and Love Walks In is genuinely strange for a stadium rock ballad. Hagar's range let Eddie write higher and more melodically. This expanded 2LP green vinyl edition is the fullest version available.
