Into The Gap was the album that turned Thompson Twins into a global act. Released in 1984, it is built on Fairlight sequencers, marimba samples and Tom Bailey's plaintive vocals, and it produced four hit singles in a row. Hold Me Now is the one everyone knows, a slow synth ballad that has outlived most of its era. Doctor! Doctor! and You Take Me Up are tighter and stranger than their chart positions suggest, and the deep cuts lean toward moody, percussive atmosphere rather than filler. Alannah Currie's percussion and Joe Leeway's keyboards give the trio a warmer sound than most of their contemporaries managed. This 40th anniversary red vinyl pressing suits an album that was always about texture as much as melody.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
