MJ Lenderman & Wednesday - Guttering - Olive Green Color Vinyl Record

In 2021, Douglas Dulgarian from the band TAGABOW delighted fans by releasing the very first cassette on his exciting new label project, Julia’s War Recordings. This charming collaborative EP, created by friends Jake and Karly under their playful pseudonyms MJ Lenderman & Wednesday, was titled Guttering. When it first hit the shelves, Stereogum captured it beautifully, saying, “Guttering‘s six self-recorded tracks present some of the best aspects of both artists’ work, setting sighing harmonies against dense power chords and occasionally seasoning the mix with some twangy lead guitar.”Fast forward to 2025, and MJ Lenderman and Wednesday have blossomed into two of the brightest stars in indie rock! Wednesday had an impressive breakout year in 2023 with their outstanding Dead Oceans debut, ‘Rat Saw God’, which found its way onto several year-end lists. Meanwhile, in 2024, MJ Lenderman's Anti debut, ‘Manning Fireworks’, propelled him into the spotlight of indie stardom. Following the album's release, a whirlwind of sold-out tour dates and an incredible array of year-end accolades followed. As both bands have built passionate fanbases over the past four years, this early collaborative EP is a wonderful reminder of how far they've come and beautifully showcases the magical spark they shared in those early days, long before the world was watching.
