Now, presented as a Double LP, it has been remastered for vinyl by Heather Jones, showcasing the early evolution of a style that balances precision and expansiveness, while retaining a raw edge—a quality consistent throughout MJ’s discography (also see 2021’s ‘Ghost of Your Guitar Solo’ (DLR 016) and 2022’s ‘Boat Songs’ (DLR 031)). Drawing inspiration from 90s slowcore, while incorporating elements reminiscent of Magnolia Electric Co. and the soundscapes of Neil Young and Crazy Horse, these 9 songs, totaling just over an hour in length, create rich, immersive worlds that are both vibrant and calming.
