De-Loused in the Comatorium is the definitive studio album from The Mars Volta. Released on Gold Standard Laboratories & Universal Records on June 24, 2003, the concept album tells the story of Cerpin Taxt, a man who plunges into a week-long coma due to a potent mixture of morphine and rat poison. With lyrics of mystery and Latin-infused jazz beats, plus Omar Rodríguez-López's extraordinary guitar riffs, this record is a unique tribute to El Paso artist Julio Venegas (1972 - 1996). The title also references the band's previous release, Tremulant, while the striking cover artwork is by Storm Thorgerson. An exhilarating, passionate and inspirational journey awaits!

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
