In 2023, Death Cult came back and regrouped for a few live shows. In 2024, to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of The Cult, Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy carefully handpicked tracks from the previously released Death Cult collection Ghost Dance and put together a new album titled Paradise Now. This limited edition album is pressed on crystal clear vinyl with a unique white and black splatter design. Southern Death Cult first formed in 1981 and released their only album, self-titled, posthumously in 1983. That same year, Death Cult was formed and Astbury teamed up with Duffy for a musical partnership that has lasted over 40 years. The band released two 12-inch records in 1983, including the Death Cult EP, which were later combined and released as a CD. Death Cult is a powerful expression of the post-punk gothic futurist movement.

In 2023, Astbury and Duffy came together once again to revive Death Cult and deliver electrifying live performances, including a sold-out show at The Theatre at The Ace Hotel in Los Angeles and a limited run of dates in the UK, with back-to-back shows at the Brixton Electric. After a name change to The Cult, they released their iconic album, Dreamtime, and have continued to sell over four million records worldwide, earning gold and platinum certifications in both international and US markets.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
