Leaving the Steve Miller Band after just two records, Boz Scaggs ventured to Muscle Shoals to make his unforgettable debut album with acclaimed studio musicians who had previously backed Wilson Pickett and Aretha Franklin. Boz Scaggs' collaboration with the Muscle Shoals rhythm section and Duane Allman gave the music a genuine edge. Listeners will be captivated by "Waiting for a Train", a Jimmie Rodgers cover, the folky "Look What I Got!", and the 11-minute blues-style "Loan Me A Dime". This record highlights Boz Scaggs' artistry and stands as a classic example of blue-eyed soul.

Boz Scaggs is available as a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on turquoise-colored vinyl. For this release, the 1977 Tom Perry Remix was used.
