"Coxton Yard" opens with a wall of washed-out guitar before Ned Russin's bass locks into a propulsive groove, and "Shed" itself rides a hypnotic riff into post-punk territory. "Mrahc" strips everything back to raw, emotional punk, while "Your Screen Door" layers dreamy textures over driving rhythms. The album became a touchstone for the emo and hardcore communities, proving that genre evolution doesn't mean abandoning intensity.
