This Is Music: The Singles gathers the run of songs that made The Verve one of the defining British bands of the 1990s. Richard Ashcroft's voice and Nick McCabe's swirling guitar sit at the centre of it, from the swaggering "Bitter Sweet Symphony" to the aching "The Drugs Don't Work," with Simon Jones on bass and Pete Salisbury on drums holding the whole thing together.

Originally issued in 2004 and never before pressed on vinyl, this 20th anniversary double LP was assembled under the band's own direction. The two Urban Hymns session outtakes have been swapped for "Love Is Noise" and "Rather Be" from the 2008 reunion album Forth, and their 1992 single "She's A Superstar" appears in its full eight and a half minute form rather than the five minute edit. The result finally tells the complete story of the band's singles across four sides.

A strong starting point for anyone new to The Verve, and an overdue vinyl edition for everyone else.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
