Before Lost in the Dream made them one of the biggest bands in indie rock, The War on Drugs delivered Slave Ambient, the album that put Adam Granduciel's vision into full focus. It's 47 minutes of hazy, layered rock that blurs the lines between shoegaze, heartland rock, and ambient drift into something completely its own.

"Best Night" opens with a slow-building wash of guitars and synths that pulls you in immediately. "Brothers" locks into a driving groove, while "Your Love Is Calling My Name" stretches out over six minutes of shimmering, hypnotic repetition. The brief instrumental "Come for It" barely clocks 30 seconds before "It's Your Destiny" picks up with one of Granduciel's most infectious melodies. "Baby Missiles" punches through with urgent energy, and "Black Water Falls" closes the album with five minutes of swirling, gorgeous resolution.

Released in 2011 on Secretly Canadian, Slave Ambient earned widespread critical acclaim and remains a landmark of modern guitar-driven rock. This 2xLP pressing gives the album the breathing room it deserves.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
