Recorded in a quaint studio in Durham, North Carolina, the debut LP from Sylvan Esso, formed by Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn in 2014, straddled the line between experimental and pop. Even now, years later, the album remains a powerful and fitting entrance to the group's unique sound - a blend of cerebral depth and dance-inducing rhythms. Combining analog and digital elements, Meath and Sanborn seamlessly melded together to create a ten-track masterpiece that was both sparse and sparkling, with brooding undertones beneath the polished synths and angelic vocals of Meath. Before their rise to international fame, including headlining festivals and earning Grammy nominations, Sylvan Esso was a lucky union of musical chemistry. The original album description foretold their direction, with its "collection of vivid addictions" exploring themes of love and suffering. To celebrate the album's 10th anniversary, indie label Psychic Hotline is releasing a deluxe edition, featuring essential singles "Coffee", "Hey Mami,” and "H.S.K.T.", the expanded edition also includes remixes from J Rocc, Rick Wade, Helado Negro, Dntel, and more. The deluxe 2LP package sports an all-over foil inversion of the original album's iconic foil "SE" logo.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
