Stereolab - Sound-Dust - 2LP Vinyl Record
Sound-Dust, from 2001, is the second album Stereolab made with John McEntire and Jim O'Rourke and the last with Mary Hansen, who died the following year. It is their most orchestrated record: suites that change shape halfway through, woodwinds and vibraphone everywhere, and songs like "Captain Easychord" and "Baby Lulu" that feel closer to soundtrack writing than indie rock. Beautiful, slightly melancholy, and the ideal record for a quiet evening with the lights low. This is part of Duophonic's 2LP reissue series, which brings seven Stereolab albums back to shelves using the 2019 remasters cut from the original half inch tapes by Bo Kondren at Calyx Mastering in Berlin, overseen by Tim Gane. These editions do not carry the bonus material from the discontinued 3LP versions, which keeps the price sensible. Housed in a 5mm spine sleeve with printed inners and a protective PVC outer bag.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
