Fifteen years after Not Music, Stereolab returned in 2025 with thirteen new recordings. Laetitia Sadier, Tim Gane, Andy Ramsay, Joe Watson and Xavi Munoz are joined by Cooper Crain and Rob Frye of Bitchin Bajas, Ben LaMar Gay, Holger Zapf of Cavern of Anti-Matter and Marie Merlet of Monade. It sounds unmistakably like Stereolab, motorik rhythms, vintage keyboards, Sadier's deadpan delivery in French and English, but looser and warmer than the later albums, with brass and woodwind pushing into the arrangements. "Aerial Troubles" and "Colour Television" are the immediate ones, while the two parts of "If You Remember I Forgot How to Dream" bookend the second disc. A genuine late-career record rather than a victory lap, pressed here on clear vinyl.
