The 1988 debut album of Slick Rick, titled "The Great Adventures of Slick Rick", is considered to be a masterpiece of hip-hop. Slick Rick, a British-American MC, was the third musician to sign with the legendary Def Jam Recordings label. To mark its 30th anniversary, Def Jam will release a newly remastered and expanded 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition. This special edition will contain four demos that were never released before along with the previously unheard session track "Snakes of The World Today." The album, driven by the back-to-back chart hits "Teenage Love" (which was a Top 20 R&B and Top 10 Rap hit) and "Children’s Story" (which was a Top 5 R&B and Rap hit and is consistently cited as one of the Top 50 Rap hits of all time), topped Billboard’s R&B Albums chart for five weeks.
