New Radicals - Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too - Vinyl Record 2LP 180g Import

New Radicals made exactly one album, and it was enough to leave a mark. Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too (1998) was the vision of Gregg Alexander, who wrote and produced every song, mixing 70s soul, glam and piano pop with sharp jabs at corporate culture and celebrity.

"You Get What You Give" became an instant classic, a Top 5 hit in the UK and a radio staple everywhere, and it still sounds like pure optimism. The rest of the album goes deeper: the gospel lift of "I Don't Wanna Die Anymore," the tender "Someday We'll Know," later covered by Hall & Oates, and the sprawling title track. Alexander dissolved the band in 1999, before the second single came out, and went on to write hits for other artists.

This Music On Vinyl edition spreads the album across two 180-gram LPs in a gatefold sleeve. A late 90s cult favourite that deserves a spot on your shelf.
