Lionel Richie - Lionel Richie - Japanese Vintage Vinyl
Lionel Richie is the 1982 solo debut from the former Commodores singer and the album that launched one of the great pop careers of the decade. Co-produced with James Anthony Carmichael for Motown, it climbed to number three on the Billboard 200 and sold millions.
"Truly" is the centrepiece, a tender piano ballad that went to number one and won Richie a Grammy. "You Are" adds bright, upbeat pop soul, and "My Love" became a third top 10 single. Elsewhere "Serves You Right" and "Round And Round" show off a funkier side, and "Wandering Stranger" and "You Mean More To Me" lean into the warm, soulful balladry that became his signature.
This is the Japanese edition on Motown, catalogue VIL-6011, in a gatefold jacket. Japanese pressings from the early 1980s are prized for their quiet vinyl and careful quality control, a fine match for these lush, polished arrangements.
A smooth addition to any soul or eighties pop collection.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
