Laura Marling - Song For Our Daughter - Vinyl Record
Laura Marling's seventh album was meant to come out later in 2020, but as the world shut down she moved it up and released it almost without warning. Song for Our Daughter turned out to be exactly what people needed: a calm, generous record written as a letter to an imagined daughter about growing up, love and holding your ground.
Marling co-produced it with longtime collaborators Ethan Johns and Dom Monks, layering lush strings and warm harmonies around her fingerpicked guitar without losing the intimacy at the heart of her best work. "Alexandra" answers Leonard Cohen's "Alexandra Leaving", while "Held Down" and "Strange Girl" have a looseness that recalls Joni Mitchell and early-seventies Laurel Canyon.
The album earned her a Mercury Prize shortlist spot and a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album. This Chrysalis and Partisan pressing comes on black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with a lyric inner sleeve.
A modern folk record that will keep finding its way back to your turntable.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
