Lael Neale’s minimalist drone pop resonates with the Transcendentalists, modern alienation, and diverse musical influences like Dionne Warwick and John Lennon, alongside primitive American gospel and Spacemen 3. Her new record, Altogether Stranger, was created in the early morning stillness of Los Angeles. At just 32 minutes, the 9-song LP explores a wide range of musical and lyrical themes—from garage rock nursery rhymes to Motorik dance dirges and solo Omnichord meditations. A brilliant lyricist, Neale adeptly reveals the extraordinary in the mundane, addressing recurring themes of polarity: country vs. city, humanity vs. technology, isolation vs. society. This album marks her third collaboration with producer Guy Blakeslee, who broadens the tonal palette while honoring Neale’s dedication to the raw immediacy and handmade intimacy of home recording.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
