Kevin Morby - This Is A Photograph - Vinyl Record LP
This Is A Photograph began in a Kansas City basement. After his father collapsed at a family dinner in early 2020, Kevin Morby found himself flipping through old photos and fixed on one of his dad as a young man, proud and shirtless on a lawn. That image set off a meditation on history, mortality and the fight against time.
Morby took those ideas to Memphis, checked into the Peabody Hotel and wrote among the ghosts of the city's musical dreamers. Produced by longtime collaborator Sam Cohen, the 2022 Dead Oceans album is his most vivid Americana statement yet, with lush, full-band arrangements lifting songs like the driving title track, the tender "A Coat of Butterflies" and "Bittersweet, TN." The result is elegiac but never gloomy, a record about holding on to what matters while you still can.
Fans of Bob Dylan, Waxahatchee and Bill Callahan should not miss this one. A rich, warm listen that rewards turning it over again and again.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
