Jeff Buckley – Grace - GOLD Color Vinyl Record Import
Grace is the only studio album Jeff Buckley finished in his lifetime, and it has never stopped finding new listeners. Recorded in the fall of 1993 at Bearsville Studios near Woodstock, New York, with producer Andy Wallace, it captures a singer of extraordinary range moving from whisper to full-throated wail within a single verse.
Buckley's own songs carry the album. "Mojo Pin" drifts in slowly before erupting, the title track surges, and "Last Goodbye" became his signature single. His covers are just as revealing: the late-night torch song "Lilac Wine", Benjamin Britten's arrangement of "Corpus Christi Carol" sung in a pure falsetto, and the version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" that so many now consider the definitive one.
This Columbia import is pressed on gold coloured vinyl, a fitting look for a record so many collectors consider essential. If your shelf is missing Grace, this is a beautiful way to fix it.
