Sports is the 1983 album that made Huey Lewis and the News one of the biggest bands in America. It reached number one on the Billboard 200 and produced a string of hit singles, turning the San Francisco bar band into MTV regulars.

"The Heart Of Rock & Roll" and "I Want A New Drug" are pure, punchy rock and roll, "Heart And Soul" and "If This Is It" bring a warm, radio-ready pop glow, and the closing cover of Hank Williams' "Honky Tonk Blues" nods to the band's roots. The playing is tight, the hooks are huge, and the harmonies give it real swagger.

This is the Japanese edition on Chrysalis, catalogue WWS-81628. Japanese pressings of 1980s rock and pop are a favourite with collectors for their quiet vinyl and well-kept packaging, and this crisp, punchy production suits a clean pressing.

An eighties classic that still sounds great loud.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
