Produced, recorded and mixed by John Agnello in Philly and NY, it was created faster than ever before. Get Disowned (2012) featured surreal, anthemic protogonists; now Painted Shut takes a closer, harsher look at the lives of struggling unknowns, such as Buddy Bolden and Jackson C. Frank and their mental illness and poverty.
