Grizzly Bear- Yellow House - 15th Anniversary Edition CLEAR color Vinyl Record

Yellow House was the record where Grizzly Bear became a true band. Released by Warp in 2006, it was the first album with all four members in place: Ed Droste, Daniel Rossen, Chris Taylor and Christopher Bear. It took its name from the house belonging to Droste's mother on Cape Cod, where much of it was recorded, and that homespun setting shaped its warm, intimate sound.

The songs drift between hazy folk, chamber pop and psychedelia, built on layered harmonies, banjo, woodwinds and patient, slow-building arrangements. "Knife" became a breakout single with its doo-wop haunted melody, "Central And Remote" and "Little Brother" swell into gorgeous noise, and "On A Neck, On A Spit" shows off Rossen's restless songwriting. It set the stage for the acclaim that followed on Veckatimest and Shields.

This 15th Anniversary Edition spreads the album across two LPs pressed on clear vinyl, giving its dense textures room to breathe. A beautiful way to own a landmark of 2000s indie rock.
