American Beauty, the Grateful Dead's second album of 1970, was released just six months after their Workingman's Dead album. Both albums featured the original tracklist, but American Beauty was remastered in 2020 for its 50th anniversary. This version of the album is available on 140-gram, "Limeade" color vinyl, and it comes in a direct-to-board jacket. American Beauty contains ten tracks, including the band's most popular songs like "Box Of Rain," "Friend Of The Devil," "Sugar Magnolia," "Candyman," "Ripple," "Brokedown Palace," "Attics Of My Life," and "Truckin'." Despite being their second album of the year, American Beauty demonstrates the Grateful Dead's ability to maintain the quality of their music, both in writing and performing. The album was a commercial success and has remained popular for the last 50 years, consistently ranking on Rolling Stone's "best albums of all-time" lists.
