Gerry Rafferty & Stealers Wheel - COLLECTED - 180g Import Audiophile] vinyl record

Gerry Rafferty wrote two of the most recognisable songs of the 70s, and Collected puts both of them on one set. School friends Rafferty and Joe Egan formed Stealers Wheel in 1972, and their Dylanesque shuffle "Stuck In The Middle With You" became a transatlantic hit and, decades later, a film soundtrack favourite.

The opening side is devoted to Stealers Wheel, from that hit to "Star" and "Everything Will Turn Out Fine." The remaining three follow Rafferty's solo career, led by "Baker Street" and its unforgettable saxophone line, plus "Right Down The Line" and "Night Owl." His 1978 album City To City knocked Saturday Night Fever off the top of the US chart, and its title track is here too, along with later gems like "Shipyard Town" and "A New Beginning."

Music On Vinyl presses this 2LP set on 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes inside. A warm, thoughtful pick for soft rock and singer-songwriter fans.
