Selling England By The Pound is the peak of the Peter Gabriel era and, for many listeners, of British progressive rock generally. Released in 1973, it opens a cappella with Dancing With The Moonlit Knight and never settles into anything predictable. Firth Of Fifth contains Steve Hackett's most celebrated guitar solo and one of Tony Banks's finest piano introductions. The Cinema Show builds to a long instrumental passage in seven eight, and I Know What I Like gave the band its first chart single almost by accident. Gabriel's lyrics are dense with English wordplay, class satire and myth, which rewards reading along. This 140 gram clear vinyl pressing gives the quieter acoustic passages the space they deserve. Essential for any prog collection.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
