Gary Numan - Telekon 45th Anniversary Expanded Edition - Color Vinyl Record
Black Sparkle Rainbow Color Vinyl
Gary Numan’s second studio album, TELEKON, was released in 1980 and became his third consecutive #1 album in the UK, marking a significant milestone in his career. He describes this album, along with its two predecessors—Tubeway Army’s Replicas and his debut solo album, The Pleasure Principle—as part of his "machine" phase. While it was challenging to follow up on his earlier successes, Telekon proved to be incredibly influential. Unlike its predecessors, this album features a rich blend of guitars, strings, and lush synthesizer textures. Trent Reznor has even mentioned that he listened to it every day while working on Pretty Hate Machine. Earlier this year, a visit to Gary’s archive revealed some exciting treasures, including unreleased material from Telekon. We’re excited to share four of these previously unheard tracks in this special expanded edition. Among them is “Like A B-Film,” a track from the album’s sessions that was not quite finished before. The other three are early versions of “Please Push No More,” “Aircrash Bureau,” and “I’m An Agent,” which are also unreleased. The album has been pressed onto beautiful double rainbow sparkle black vinyl, digitally remastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road, with new artwork by Michael Speed at Beggars—who has often collaborated with Gary on his reissues. Plus, the vinyl edition includes a reproduction of the original 1980 12-page Telekon tour booklet.
Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
