Recorded with her longtime band at Sonic Ranch in Texas, the album follows the slow work of rebuilding after a breakup. Pedal steel, loose jazz-leaning drums and a guest turn from Wilco's Nels Cline give the songs room to drift, while Webster's deadpan writing keeps them grounded. The title comes from her habit of slipping into symphony performances on impulse, still dressed for an ordinary day. "Lego Ring," featuring Lil Yachty, breaks the mood with something close to comedy, which is exactly the point: heartache and absurdity sit side by side.
