Dry Cleaning - Secret Love - Apricot Color Vinyl Record
Produced by Cate Le Bon, Secret Love began its journey in the cozy rehearsal spaces of Peckham. All the members – frontperson Florence Shaw, guitarist Tom Dowse, drummer Nick Buxton, and bassist Lewis Maynard – shared a space where they could write, play, and respond to each other, creating music and lyrics that are truly inseparable and full of life. The next chapter of this album took shape during uplifting sessions at Jeff Tweedy’s Chicago studio, The Loft, and energetic moments with Gilla Band’s Alan Duggan and Daniel Fox at Sonic Studios in Dublin, where each space’s unique acoustics inspired new ideas. Finally, the creative process concluded with Cate Le Bon at Black Box in the beautiful Loire Valley.
Secret Love beautifully captures the deep friendship that brought Dry Cleaning to life. In this album, the talented four-piece from south London carves out their unique place in the world of rock, blending the rebellious spirit of early 80s US punk and hardcore, the cool swagger of Keith Richards, stoner rock, dystopian themes, playful no wave, and gentle folk-style fingerpicking. Florence’s expressive vocals are perfectly tailored to her bandmates’ innovative soundscapes, showcasing her as part of a rich tradition of spoken-word artists, from Laurie Anderson to Sue Tompkins of Life Without Buildings.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
