Eight years after 9, Damien Rice returned in 2014 with My Favourite Faded Fantasy, an album worth every bit of the wait. Produced by Rice with Rick Rubin, it was started at Shangri La in Malibu and finished in Iceland, and it debuted at number one in Ireland and in the top ten in the UK.

These are eight long, patient songs that build from a whisper to something huge. The title track opens with Rice's falsetto before swelling into strings, "It Takes A Lot To Know A Man" unfolds over nearly ten minutes, and "I Don't Want To Change You" and "The Greatest Bastard" are among the most quietly devastating songs he has written. The production gives every guitar string and breath room to resonate, which suits the format perfectly.

Mastered by Bob Ludwig and cut at 45 RPM across two LPs, it comes in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves carrying the lyrics. A beautiful record for late nights and careful listening.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
