Electric is the album where The Cult traded the gothic, psychedelic haze of Love for pure hard rock. Released in 1987 and produced by Rick Rubin, it strips Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy's sound back to its essentials: huge, dry drums, crunching riffs and Astbury's howl, front and center.

The singles say it all. "Love Removal Machine" struts on one of Duffy's best riffs, "Lil' Devil" is a three-minute blast of swagger, and opener "Wild Flower" sets the tone with pounding drums and a riff that refuses to let go. Add a raucous take on Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild" and you have one of the defining hard rock records of the late 80s and the album that helped break the band in America.

This Beggars Arkive reissue is pressed on black vinyl and comes in a gatefold sleeve with a printed inner sleeve. Crank it up.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
