Recovering the Satellites debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in October 1996, built on fourteen tracks of bruised, guitar-driven alternative rock that producer Gil Norton shaped into the band's most ambitious statement. Adam Duritz wrote through the disorientation of sudden fame — the result ranged from the urgent opening punch of "Angels of the Silences" to the slow-burning melancholy of "A Long December," one of the defining singles of the late nineties.
This RSD Essential Indie Exclusive is remastered from the original 1/4" production master tape and pressed on lava red vinyl across two LPs.
