Clash - Tokyo 1982 - Clear Color Vinyl Record 2LP

February 1, 1982, Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo, captured by radio broadcast on the band's tour of the Far East. The Clash had just finished recording Combat Rock, and remarkably not one song from it turned up in the set, so what plays out here is the group tearing through the catalogue that had already made them the most restless band in Britain: punk, reggae, rockabilly and dub thrown together at speed.

It is also one of the last documents of the original line up, recorded only months before drummer Topper Headon left. His playing is a large part of why this show is among the most traded in Clash circles. Partway through, Paul Simonon's wife Pearl Harbour steps up to sing "Fujiyama Mama" for the Tokyo crowd.

Pressed as a double album on clear vinyl in an edition limited to 1000 copies. Worth hearing loud.
