Banjo, brushed drums and close harmony carry songs that move between front porch folk and something closer to full band Americana, with guest turns from Nathaniel Rateliff and Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee adding weight to the choruses. "Believe", "Lavender Girl" and the closing "Sure Of" are the ones that stick, but the album works best played end to end, the way a good breakup record should. Released on Mom + Pop in 2022, this is the limited edition pressing on opaque baby pink vinyl, a colour that fits the album's mood better than black ever would.
