Boygenius, formed by Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus, was formed after booking a tour together but their friendship and musical synergy had been brewing for longer than that. They had met through a series of tours, performances and chance encounters, and quickly formed a strong bond through their shared passion for music and songwriting.
