Black Mountain's self-titled debut is a thundering, psychedelic-rock monolith from Vancouver that channels Black Sabbath, Neil Young, and Hawkwind into songs of crushing heaviness and unexpected beauty. Released in 2005 on Jagjaguwar, it introduced Stephen McBean and Amber Webber's dual vocals — his gravelly and stoned, hers soaring and ethereal — layered over riffs heavy enough to flatten mountains.

"Stormy High" opens with a doom-laden groove that gives way to Webber's angelic voice, creating the contrast that defines the entire album. "Modern Music" delivers eight minutes of slow-building psych-rock catharsis, "No Satisfaction" channels proto-metal swagger, and "Don't Run Our Hearts Around" balances delicate folk with eruptions of distorted guitar. Each copy of this edition comes on random eco-color vinyl — a unique pressing for a band that's always been one of a kind.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
