Andrea Bocelli's My Christmas arrived in 2009 and quickly became one of the best-selling holiday albums of all time. Bocelli chose every song himself, and GRAMMY-winning producer David Foster shaped the arrangements, pairing that unmistakable tenor with orchestra, choir and a guest list that runs from Natalie Cole and Mary J. Blige to Reba McEntire, Katherine Jenkins and even The Muppets.
The result moves easily between reverent and playful. A bilingual "White Christmas / Bianco Natale" opens the set, "The Lord's Prayer" with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir brings real grandeur, and "Jingle Bells" with The Muppets is pure family fun. Bocelli said he wanted families gathered at Christmas to listen to this music together, and it still does that job beautifully.
Decca's 2022 limited edition spreads the album across two LPs pressed on white and gold vinyl, a festive pressing that looks as good on display as it sounds on the turntable. A lovely gift, or a centerpiece for your own holiday listening.
