Romanza is the record that introduced Andrea Bocelli to the world. Released in 1997, it gathers the highlights of his early Italian albums into one collection, and it went on to become one of the best-selling albums ever by an Italian artist.

The centrepiece is "Time to Say Goodbye," his duet with Sarah Brightman, which reworked his own "Con te partirò" into an international hit; both versions appear here. Around them sit his reading of Lucio Dalla's "Caruso," the title track, duets with Giorgia and Gerardina Trovato, and a live "Miserere" with John Miles, a song first recorded by Zucchero with Luciano Pavarotti.
