The Underworld is the second album from Philadelphia's Sadurn, released on Run For Cover Records. After years of lingering vocal issues kept songwriter G DeGroot from singing, the record became a long journey through loss, healing and transformation, written in the wake of a relationship ending.
"A lot of times when something is hard to say, it flows more easily in songwriting," DeGroot explains. Joined by guitarist Jon Cox, bassist Tabitha Ahnert and drummer Amelia Swain, they move between lush, widescreen indie folk and raw, single-take moments. Opener "the weight" builds to a soaring outro with Cox's soloing wrapped around DeGroot's warm voice, while "why does my heart" and "can't stop" keep a loose, demo-like intimacy.
This pressing comes on cosmic blue transparent vinyl, a fitting look for an album about reaching beyond what we can see. Highlights "mess", "never tell me" and "whole thing" make it an easy recommendation for fans of Big Thief, Florist or Adrianne Lenker.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
