Mike Kerr runs a bass through guitar and bass amplifiers simultaneously and Ben Thatcher plays drums with brute force, which is the whole trick behind Out Of The Black, Little Monster and Figure It Out. The record went straight to number one in the UK and pulled a whole audience back toward loud, riff driven rock at a moment when nobody expected it. Spread across two LPs the bass tone has far more room than the original single disc allowed. A great pick if you already know the album and want the fuller pressing.
