In 2006, Japan's envy irreparably blurred the lines dividing post-hardcore, screamo, shoegaze, and ambient minimalism into their cinematic opus, Insomniac Doze. Building on the groundwork of All the Footprints You've Left Behind and the Fear Expecting Ahead and A Dead Sinking Story, the band pushed further into sprawling, emotionally devastating compositions — from the coiled tension of "Further Ahead of Warp" to the fifteen-minute crescendo of "The Unknown Glow." Twenty years later, it stands as a progenitor and one of the premier examples of punk's preconceptions reduced to vapor.
This Anniversary Edition is remastered in 2026 by Josh Bonati and pressed on metallic gold vinyl in a deluxe gatefold package with complete lyrics in both English and Japanese. Limited to 1,200 copies.
