Few records cast as long a shadow as Spiderland. Slint's second album, and their first for Touch and Go, was recorded with Brian Paulson and released in 1991, by which point the Louisville band had already split. Its six songs move from near-whispered, spoken passages to sudden eruptions of guitar, taut and menacing one moment and fragile the next.

The album became a founding document of post-rock and math rock, and it reached a wider audience when "Good Morning, Captain" appeared in the 1995 film Kids. Will Oldham shot the famous black and white cover of the four members' heads above the water of a quarry, and the album later earned its own book in the 33 1/3 series. Members went on to Tortoise, The Breeders and many other bands.

This Touch and Go edition is remastered from the original analog master tapes and pressed on 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold jacket. Play it loud, then play it quiet.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
