George Duke - His Ultimate Collection - Vinyl Record 180g Import
George Duke could do it all. The keyboardist played with Frank Zappa, Cannonball Adderley and Jean-Luc Ponty, then built a solo career that slid easily between jazz, funk, soul and Brazilian music, and later produced hits for other artists.
His Ultimate Collection focuses on the grooves. "Reach For It" and "Dukey Stick (Part One)" are prime late-seventies funk, built on slapping bass and Duke's playful vocals, while "Brazilian Love Affair" captures the sunny fusion that came out of his sessions in Rio. "Sweet Baby", his gentle ballad with bassist Stanley Clarke, became a US top 20 hit, and "Shine On", "Reach Out" and "I Want You For Myself" show the polished early-eighties R&B that still fills dance floors.
This 13-song single LP is a European import from Sony Music, released in 2025 on 180-gram vinyl. A great starting point for newcomers and a handy single-disc set of hits for longtime fans. Drop the needle on "Reach For It" and try to sit still.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
