Extreme - Pornograffitti - Vinyl Record LP 180g Import
Released in 1990, Extreme II: Pornograffitti is the album that took Boston's Extreme from club favourites to arena headliners. Subtitled "A Funked Up Fairy Tale," it loosely follows a young character named Francis through temptation and disillusionment, wrapped in funk metal grooves and glam swagger.
Nuno Bettencourt's guitar work is the star: razor-sharp riffs on "Decadence Dance" and "Get The Funk Out," jaw-dropping solos throughout, and the delicate acoustic picking of "More Than Words," which hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Gary Cherone's acrobatic vocals and the band's tight harmonies carry "Hole Hearted," another Top 5 hit, and the swinging, crooner-style "When I First Kissed You."
Music On Vinyl reissues the full album on 180-gram vinyl, giving these dense, layered arrangements the room they deserve. A must for fans of late 80s and early 90s hard rock and guitar heroics.
