Before the big stages and the radio singles, The Head and the Heart were a Seattle band with a self-released debut and a growing local following. Recorded in early 2010, the album caught on fast at KEXP and in local record shops, and by November the band had signed to Sub Pop.

This is the Sub Pop edition of that record, remastered, with a re-recorded "Sounds Like Hallelujah" and the live favorite "Rivers and Roads" added. Those three-part harmonies, Charity Rose Thielen's violin and Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell trading verses over piano and acoustic guitar made it a cornerstone of the 2010s indie folk revival, from the singalong lift of "Lost in My Mind" to the quiet ache of "Winter Song".

Pressed as a single LP in a gatefold sleeve, it belongs next to your Fleet Foxes and Lumineers records. A warm, hopeful debut that still sounds like a band discovering what it can do.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
