The 1984 debut is Bon Jovi before the stadiums, still a New Jersey bar band with a keyboard player and a hunger for hooks. "Runaway" got there first, recorded before the band even existed as a signed act, and "She Don't Know Me" and "Shot Through The Heart" show how quickly Jon Bon Jovi worked out what a chorus was for. Rawer and guitar-heavier than what followed. This is an original Japanese pressing, catalogue 25PP-119 on Mercury. Tony Bongiovi and Lance Quinn produced it at the Power Station in New York, the studio Bongiovi built. One copy only, graded as received.
