Kacey Musgraves - star-crossed - Limited Edition Surprise Color Vinyl

star-crossed, from 2021, is Kacey Musgraves' follow-up to Golden Hour, the record that won her the Grammy for Album of the Year. Written in the wake of her divorce, it is structured as a modern tragedy in three acts, tracing a relationship from its first cracks through grief and, eventually, toward healing.

She made it in under three weeks with Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk, the same production partners behind Golden Hour, and the sound keeps that album's soft glow while adding disco pulses, bossa nova touches and sleek synth-pop. "justified" and "camera roll" are among the most direct songs she has written, and the album closes on a stripped-back cover of Violeta Parra's "Gracias a la vida," sung in Spanish.

This is a limited edition surprise color pressing, with each copy arriving on one of several colourways.
