The new EP from Drab Majesty is an evocative start to a captivating chapter in the band's timeless tale. Composed during a 2021 retreat to Yachats, Oregon, Deb Demure incorporated a 12-string Ovation acoustic/electric guitar with delay to craft dreamy soundscapes. Rachel Goswell (Slowdive), Justin Meldal-Johnson (Beck, M83, Air) and Ben Greenberg (Uniform, Circular Ruin Studio) lent their talents to elevate the record. "Cape Perpetua," captures the neo-psychedelia of folk-rock and "The Skin and the Glove" is a lauded baggy, grey-skied pop. Rachel Goswell's contributions to "Vanity" draw influence from The Cure while the closing track "Yield to Force" offers a 15-minute instrumental journey into the clouds.
